Sherry Ann Fyan, age 77 of Freeport, passed away on January 22, 2023. Sherry was born on April 11, 1945 in Hastings, the daughter of Ivon and Martha (Elliott) Bird. Sherry enjoyed gardening, baking, cooking, and going to garage sales. She attended TVC in Hastings and frequently participated in bible study. Most important to Sherry was her family and she always put others before herself. On November 12, 1966, she married Wayne Fyan and he preceded her in death in 2017. Sherry is survived by son, Steve Fyan; grandchildren: Alex Fyan, Stephanie Fyan, Joe Fyan; Jordan Schnicke; Zach Schnicke, Jill Schnicke; great grandchild, Kaleal Fyan; siblings: Harold Jameson, Jeanette Cochron; sister in law: Terri Bird; several nieces and nephews. Sherry was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Brian Fyan; siblings: Bob Bird, Elaine Hunter, Leon Bird, Donald Bird, Eva Bird. Sherry’s family will receive friends on Friday, January 27, 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Beeler-Gores Funeral Home where her funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place at Irving Cemetery. Memorial contributions to TVC will be appreciated.
