Howard Lynn Ladwig, age 75 of Delton, passed away on December 31, 2022. Howard was born on April 21, 1947 in Benton Harbor, the son of Max Ladwig Jr. and Elizabeth (Pesko) Crans. Howard proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Hickory Corners American Legion Post 484 and the Lions Club. He was employed as a truck driver for the Battle Creek VA Hospital and as a bus driver for Delton Kellogg Schools for many years. Howard also owned the Banfield General Store from 1976 to 1985. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, and riding his motorcycle with the Goldwing Road Riders Association. Most of all, he loved his family, especially his grandkids. Howard is survived by his wife, Gale (Dilno) Ladwig; children: Tina (James) Higdon, Cory (Leanne) Lafountain, Dawn (David) Shaver, Jeff (Marianne) Kennedy, Rex (Mindy) Drogus, Emily (Ricky) Hukill, Rhonda (Doug) Alrick, William Drogus; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Howard was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Jean Ladwig; brother, Larry Ladwig. A celebration of life service will be held 2-5 PM on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at the Hickory Corners American Legion. Memorial contributions to the Battle Creek VA Hospital will be appreciated.
