Obituary for Evan M. Elkins

ELKINS, Evan M.
Otsego

Evan Michael Elkins passed away unexpectedly on July 23, 2022. Evan was born on December 17, 1993 at Plainwell Hospital.

He is survived by his father Roy (Jessica) Elkins; mother Brandi Wabindato; children: Deliah Elkins, Ryder Elkins, Axel Elkins, Eli Young; siblings: Rachel (Corey) Ellis, Niki Elkins, Ronald (Amanda) Elkins, Roxanne Elkins; brother-in-law Josh Holden; grandmother Nina; fiancé Samantha Thornton; many nieces, nephews, lots of aunts and uncles.

Evan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Emil and Charlene Sneizieck; uncles Joe (Kathy), Jimmy, and Dana; Aunt Pam; Mamaw Sally. He loved and looked up to them all.

Evan enjoyed spending time with his children and family, as well as exploring in the woods, hunting, mushroom hunting, and fishing. He loved riding and showing off on his dirt bike and he definitely showed off with his tricks. Evan’s most favorite trip was going up north on the annual duck hunting trip with his dad, brother, cousins Richie Sheldon and Andrew Rogers, and many more; it was always something he looked forward to each year.

Evan had a great love of music and playing his guitar- and boy could he pick. Everyone always tried to get him to sing and he did once in a while. He loved family get-togethers where he played with his brother, uncles Timmy and Jimmy, and his stepmother Jessica.

He loved working outdoors and on heavy equipment, he was a true outdoorsman and jack of all trades.

Evan’s family were the most important people in his life. He was a great father and tried to do as much as he could for his children. He will be greatly missed by many.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at the Orangeville Pentecostal Church of Christ from 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon, where his funeral service will take place at 12:00 noon. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery. Please visit www.williamsgoresfuneral.com to share a memory or leave a condolence message for Evan’s family.
