Maxine Anna Roush, age 96 of Hickory Corners, passed away on May 13, 2022. Maxine was born on March 1, 1926 in Prairieville Township, the daughter of Benjamin and Doris (Cappon) Bagley. Maxine was employed by Peter Pan and Eckrich for a short time, before becoming a stay at home mom. Later in her life she was involved in childcare. She loved being a farmer’s wife, taking care of chickens and selling eggs to local stores, sewing, gardening, and canning. She was an inductee of the Prairieville Farmers’ Hall of Fame. She was a sewing 4H leader, enjoyed crafting, and collecting beanie babies, cow creamers, and lighthouses. Maxine was also an avid Tiger fan. Maxine is survived by her husband, Frank Roush, whom she married on December 26, 1946; daughters: Shelby Cochran; Gayanne (Donald) Mulder, Denise (Thom) Brockway; grandchildren: Aaron, Donald, Valerie, Brittany, Ethan; eight great grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Keyzer, and several nieces and nephews. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents; son in law, Roy Cochran; sisters: Pauline (Merwin) Campbell, Ila (Marion Mike) Schraafsma; brother in law, Marvin Keyzer; granddaughters: Kimberly Cochran and Angela Mulder. Maxine’s family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Williams-Gores Funeral Home. Maxine’s funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, 11:00 AM, at Hickory Corners Bible Church. Burial will take place at East Hickory Corners Cemetery.
