I met Jeff and Freida when they became Foster Parents for Family & Children Services in Kalamazoo. I was their Foster Care worker
and always looked forward to driving to visit them at their campground home. They provided loving care to the children placed with their family. I was so sorry to learn that he had died so unexpectedly. My condolences to Freida and the rest of the family. He was a kind man who cared about others in many ways.

Dear Freida, Jeff, Alicia, and Brett,
I am so sorry to hear of Jeff's passing. I taught with him at NEMS for 28 years, and from day one, he treated me as an equal, even though I was a brand new teacher. We traveled the stated presenting our experiences in open concept and team teaching at the middle school. We carpooled for a time with Marianne Speck and had wonderful conversations. Jeff was the most supportive friend and colleague. I have many memories of time spent with Jeff and Freida - pig roasts, Christmas parties, and other celebrations.
I am richer for knowing Jeff and Freida, and their wonderful family. I wish you all peace and comfort in knowing his was a well-lived life.
With love,
Pam Buchanan

We just heard about this today and we are very sad to learn of this. We loved having Jeff as our neighbor and oh how him and Frieda loved to decorate their home at Christmas and welcome all the neighbors into their home at this special time of year. He will be missed by all. He was a Godly man that loved doing work for the Lord. We know where his resting place will be and brings peace to our hearts.
We Love you Jeff, you will surely be missed. Our hearts go out to the family.

We just got back from a trip to North Carolina and are shocked to hear of Jeff's passing. We always enjoyed seeing Jeff and Frieda at school parties over the decades, A visit to the "farm" was always a pleasure. Please except our sympathy and best wishes for the future.
