Russel Allen Adams, age 49 of Hastings, has gone to be with his Lord Jesus Christ and Savior in Heaven after passing away unexpectedly on February 26, 2021. He is no longer suffering and will be spending eternity worshiping his savior Jesus Christ. Russel was born on October 19, 1971 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Arden and Ruth (Steele) Adams.
Russel graduated from Hastings High School in 1990. He enjoyed being with his family and serving his Lord. Russel could often be found spending time outdoors, hunting, and fishing. He was also an avid gun enthusiast collecting many different kinds of guns.
He will be missed by his parents, Arden and Ruth (Steele) Adams; brother, Arden Dale (LeAnn) Adams; sisters: Kellie (David) Thompson, Shanon (James) Paul; nieces and nephews: Ashlie (Michael) Riley, Nichole Thompson, Maci (Travis) Cooper, DJ Thompson, Brandon Riley, Emma Riley; great nephews and nieces: Rachael, KaraLynn and Matthew Riley, Cade and Sydney Cooper; and many friends and brothers and sisters in Christ from Orangeville Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
Russel’s family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 from 10:00-11:00 AM at Orangeville Baptist Church where his funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM. Pastor Andrew Manwarren and Pastor Dan Bowman will officiate. Private burial will take place in Rutland Cemetery.
