Obituary

Joseph E. Ferguson Sr.



Joseph Edward Ferguson Sr., age 88, passed away on December 28, 2020. Joe was born on March 30, 1932 in Norwalk, OH, the son of Melvin and Viva (Hopkins) Ferguson. On June 7, 1952 he married Bonnie Hill, who survives. Joe was a proud veteran of the United States Army and was employed by numerous machine shops over many years. After retirement, Joe was a bus driver for Delton Kellogg and did maintenance work for the laundromat in Delton. He enjoyed spending time in Florida, the outdoors, bluegrass music, bowling, and karaoke. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family. Joe is survived by his wife, Bonnie Ferguson; sons: Joseph (Patricia) Ferguson, Jeffrey Ferguson, Jared (Susie) Ferguson, and Terrance (Wanda) Ferguson; twelve grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; brothers: Royal (Irene) Boulter and Loyal (Laurie) Boulter; sisters: Beverly (Louie) Burrows and Mary (Jay) Monson; several nieces and nephews. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, son, James Ferguson; brother, Dwight Ferguson; and sisters: Donna Short and Viva Harvath. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
