Beute, Linda L.
Linda Louise Beute, age 72, passed away October 5, 2020, surrounded by her loving family. Linda was born July 13, 1948 in Grand Rapids, to Kenneth and Lois (Sherk) Middleton. Linda graduated from Thornapple Kellogg High School in the class of 1966. She was involved with the play committee, pep club, and FHA- Future Homemakers of America (4 years) while in high school. After graduation, she worked for J-A White Distributing as a secretary and inventory management. Linda was married June 16, 1973 to Art Beute at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids. During her 47 years of marriage, she helped raise and support her two children through high school and college. She also assisted her husband’s business as a manufacturer representative (over 40 years) traveling with him throughout Michigan. The family enjoyed many spring breaks in Florida with parents and grandparents. Linda had a wonderful smile that everyone admired. During her spare time, she loved flower gardening, cooking great food, shopping, and raising her children and grandchildren. Linda also liked swimming, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, and other outdoor activities. She loved raising and caring for her pets, dogs, cats, rabbits, etc. The past two years were challenging for the family with health issues, including open heart surgery and recent dialysis. We would like to thank her doctors and medical staff along with Spectrum Health visiting nurses, telehealth, Spectrum Health Pennock, Spectrum Health Butterworth, and Metro Health. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Bonnie Barcroft (2019) and Janet Kahn (2020). Linda will be dearly missed by her husband, Arthur; children: Brian (Erin) and their children, Monroe and McKinley of Chuluota, Florida; Sara (Andrew) and their children, Amelia, Lucas, and Julianna of Middleville. Also, her brother, Mark (Judy) Middleton of Grayling; brother-in-law, Dr. William Beute of Grand Rapids; and sister-in-law, Nancy Snay of Marquette. A private graveside service was held on October 10, 2020 at Yankee Springs Cemetery.
