Norma W. Fort, age 84 of Kalamazoo, passed away on June 29, 2020 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. Norma was born on March 23, 1936 in Washington, D.C. the daughter of Albert Sr. and Louise (Hammack) Whitlock. Norma worked as a bank teller for Riggs National Bank and BB&T Bank for many years, retiring in 1993. In her free time, Norma enjoyed playing bingo, puzzles, and games. She was known by many as the Halloween Queen. Norma was very involved at her daycare center, and loved helping others whenever she could. Most important to Norma was spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered for her spunkiness, contagious laugh, kind and caring heart, and a person that enjoyed life. Norma is survived by her children: John (Kim) Fort and Beverly Ann (Wally) Eason; grandsons: Kevin, John Ashton, Daniel, John Allen, and Wally; 12 great grandchildren; brother, Albert (Patricia) Whitlock; niece, Melissa Dundas; and nephew, Phil Whitlock. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Harry Fort, granddaughter, Jessica Fort; and great grandson, Alexander. A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, July 3, 2020, 10:00 AM at Cedar Creek Cemetery.
