Hickory Corners

Tony Victor Jones of Hickory Corners passed away Friday afternoon, June 26, 2020 at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo. He was 49 years old. Tony was born on December 16, 1970 in Battle Creek to Suzanne & Roland Jones. Tony has lived nearly all his life in Hickory Corners, MI on the family farm, with the exception of his time in the Marine Corps. He graduated from Gull Lake High School in 1989. Tony served 6 years in the Marine Corps; stationed at Somalia, Iraq, Japan, and 29 Palms (California) where he met his wife, Kim.

He had been employed at Kellogg’s as a Journeyman Machine Repair for 12 years and also was Vice President of the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco, & Grain Millers union. He enjoyed working hard on the Jones farm, hunting, fishing, and competitive shooting. He was a great teacher to his now adult children, always one to do everything he could to provide for his family.

Tony is survived by his wife: Kimberly Dawn (Clupper) Jones, two children: Kathryn Dianne (Jones) Jenner and Cody Hunter Jones, first grandchild: Eleanor Victoria Jenner, father: Roland Jones, brothers: Chuck, Mark, Andrew, and Joseph Jones; as well as many nieces and nephews. Tony was preceded in death by his mother: Suzanne (Ripley) Jones and sister Catherine “Cathy” Callaway-Field.

Tony's graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at 3:30 PM at East Hickory Corners Cemetery with military honors by the American Legion Post 45. Pastor Len Davis officiating.
