Phillip Carl Fox passed away on May 16, 2020 at home with his loving family by his side. Phillip was born on January 20, 1946 in Grand Rapids, the son of Carl and Treva (Seese) Fox. Phil honorably served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict where he received his Bronze Star. He worked at Michigan Bell for over 30 years as a technician. After retirement, Phil worked at Snyder Communications in Caledonia. In his free time, Phil enjoyed golfing, fishing, and camping with his wife Gloria. He was known for his wonderful sense of humor and contagious laugh. Most important to Phil was his family, whom he loved and cared for very much. Phil is survived by his children: Brandon Fox, Christina (Shawn) Johnson; his father-in-law: Charles Waleszkiewicz; sisters: Lois (Dale) Byars, Phyllis Myers; grandchildren: Cheyenne (Justin) (Fox) Zimmerman, Colton (Christine Packard) Johnson, Justin Johnson; several nieces and nephews; and his two beloved Boston Terriers. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Gloria Fox, on January 25, 2018, parents, and a brother-in-law: Ken Myers. A private burial will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery.
