Off and on, before Bill and Sandy met and married, Bill's kids stayed at my house while he was working. When Sandy came on the scene, I was naturally a bit skeptical. The past few years had been difficult, and then here comes Bill with this new woman. But it didn't take long at all to realize that she loved my brother deeply, and wanted more than anything to provide a good home and security to his three children.

Then along came one of her very own, Cathy. She was ecstatic, over-the-moon, and awestruck at the same time. Cathy was her "miracle baby" and in any mother's heart that is unique. And special. Not one bit did it diminish her love for Julie, April and Bill. Of all the situations of any type of blended family over the years, I think that Bill and Sandy together did an admirable job overall. Many could learn from them. There were again, as most families, difficult areas. Some barely worth noting, some significant. But through all that her total LOVE and DEVOTION to Bill and their FOUR children never lost a bit of its shine.

For my brother, Bill, I wish you the best healing that our Lord has to offer, and that only He can give. Your days here without her may grow long, but I've full confidence you will continue living every day for our Lord, and to the glory of God. You and Sandy were a blessing to so many others!

For Julie, April, Bill and Cathy, I can't begin to tell you that I have, without a doubt, a total confidence that your mother loved you deeply. She also loved her grandchildren, each and every one. Lyle was a bit special, as he was the oldest nearby so he just got to spend much more time with him. She was so proud of you, of you all! May God bless you all beyond measure!

Sandy and I grew up as first cousins and kids.
We would stay overnight and talk on phone
As teenagers. She was a kind and funny woman. I always thought she was a beautiful
Woman. I am very sad at her passing. Bless
You Bill Edmonds and your family during this
Time. Tom and Carolyn O’Brien
