Obituary

Robert E. Hermenitt

Middleville

Robert Eugene Hermenitt, age 70, passed away on March 24, 2020. Bob was born on November 1, 1949 in Plainwell, the son of Kenneth E. and Bessie (Like) Hermenitt. Bob was a proud employee of Bradford White for thirty two years, retiring in 2000. He was a loyal University of Michigan sports fan, especially football, and was a season ticket holder for many years. In his free time, Bob enjoyed spending time on the water fishing. Most important to Bob was his family. Bob is survived by his mother; life partner: Jan Wiesenhofer; children: Janie (Eric) Nagel, Trena (Curtis) Gropp, Jamie (Melissa) Hermenitt, and Heather Hermenitt; grandchildren: Shaun, Jeremy, Joshua, Joseph, Erin, Cody, Corey, Keith, Troy, William, Whitney, Daniel, and Alex; siblings: Dennis Hermenitt, Tom (Julie) Hermenitt, Teresa (Jim) Delaphiano, Ruth Hermenitt, Terry Hermenitt, and David (Jody) Hermenitt; several nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his father, and infant son: Robert Hermenitt Jr. Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, services and a memorial celebration for Bob will be scheduled at a future date. Burial has taken place in Oak Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Renucci Hospitality House will be appreciated. Dearest Jan and family, our love and sympathy in this sad time. For 24 years we had the pleasure of sitting in our season ticket seats at the Big House --as adjacent stadium seat "neighbors" to you both. Our sons got to know UM Bob also when they used our tickets. It was a delight to become friends, as we all cheered on HIS and /our favorite team. Go Blue! Friendship is a blessing and we will treasure our memories and keep in touch. Wishing you God's peace, Joy and Bob Burns

My condolences to Bob’s family. I met Bob when I first started Bradford White some 30 years ago. He was a great guy to work with!
Even though he had been retired 20 years he was still talked about. Mostly how we old timers wished for the days when he was there. Bob definitely knew how to run the factory! Rest In Peace Bob.

Sending my condolences to all the family and friends. I went to school with Bob in Delton. He and I were good friends back then. After School was over we just lost track of each other and went on to do other things. Please remember all the good times you have shared together.

Bob was my first ever boyfriend. In junior high he gave me a “friendship ring” and I remember him with fondness. As with most of us, we went our separate ways after graduation but I was pleased to see him again and meet Jan and chat briefly at our 50th reunion. He told me about his love for Michigan football. He was determined to again make use of his season tickets. I hope he did. Condolences to the entire Hermenitt family, so sorry for your loss.
