Ida “Margaret” (Ehle) Ruble 91, passed away at her home on Friday, March 6, 2020. She was born in Marshall, MI to Guy E. Ehle and Mary Catherine (Nixon) Ehle on September 19, 1928. She moved to Manton MI when she was 11 to live with her grandparents until 1944 and then moved to Battle Creek to live with her father and step mother. She attended Battle Creek Central High School where she was a member of the first A-Cappella choir, and she graduated in 1946. While there, she met the love of her life, Max Ruble, and they were married on July 14, 1946 at the Free Methodist Church.

Margaret created a happy loving home; she enjoyed her family, working in her garden, canning vegetables, hiking, watching the birds out her back window and spending time at their cabin in northern Michigan.
Margaret was a member of the Wesleyan Church in Hickory Corners, MI where she and Max were the official greeters for many years. She also helped with junior church, vacation bible school and was a member of the choir.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda (Bernie) Fisher of Dowling, Lorie Bennett of Melbourne, Arkansas, and son, Roger Ruble of Battle Creek. She has ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, and also two great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild that have not yet been born; brother, Harold, three sisters-in-law, Joan Latta of Hillsdale, Virginia VanHuysen of Battle Creek and Carol Mitchell of Hastings. She was preceded in death by her parents and step mother, her husband of 72 years, Max Ruble, brothers, Chuck, Everett and little brother, Larry, son Phillip, and grandson Kevin Fisher.
Visitation will be held at the Williams-Gores Funeral Home in Delton, MI, on Saturday, March 14, 2020 from 11 am until 1 pm, and the funeral service will be held directly after at 1 pm, with Pastor Richard Foster officiating.
