Terry Gale Harring, age 82 passed away on August 31, 2019 at his residence. Terry was born on July 22, 1937 in Kalamazoo, MI to the late Milan Elmer and Eleanor Nellie (Chipman) Harring. Terry graduated from Comstock High School in 1956, and while in school served in the United State Coast Guard. After graduating, Terry went on active duty and proudly served his country for twenty-two years retiring as a Bos’n Mate Chief Petty Officer. Terry was a Vietnam Veteran, and Past Commander of the VFW Post 422 in Delton. He was a member of many different organizations, including The Dads Post 250 in Delton, American Legion Post 0484 in Hickory Corners, son of the American Legion Post 0484 in Hickory Corners, Moose Lodge, and Eagles Lodge. Terry was preceded in death by his older brother, Miland Conrad Harring, very special friend Josephine Ward, and sister-in-law, Jill Harring. Terry will be greatly missed by his children: Terry (Linda) Harring, Lisa (Tim) Clifton, Miland Harring, Loretta (Steve) Schmidt, Miles (Tammy) Harring; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Terry also leaves behind his siblings: Gerry (Tom) Schaberg, Thomas (Eileen) Harring, Roland Harring, Keith (Patsy) Harring, Clifton Harring, Scott (Becky) Harring; and sister-in-law, Phyllis Harring. Terry’s family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Williams-Gores Funeral Home where his funeral service with full military honors by the American Legion Post 45 will be conducted on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at 1:00 PM, Pastor Jeff Worden officiating.
