Troy Lee Anderson, age 52, passed away on July 29, 2019. Troy was born September 8, 1966 in Hastings, the son of Terry and Sherry (Delaphiano) Anderson. Troy was a 1985 graduate of Delton Kellogg High School where he excelled in wrestling, football, and track. He later attended ITT Tech and graduated in 1987. Troy honorably served his country in the United States Navy during Desert Shield, Desert Storm and the Malta Summit. He was an EN3 Fire Controlman and served on two ships, the USS Belknap CG-26 from 1989 to 1991 and the USS John Hancock DD-981 from 1991 to 1993. In his younger years Troy loved to snowmobile, he enjoyed reading, playing video games, watching TV, and listening to his favorite musician, Prince and Kizz. After two years in Goeta, Italy, Troy returned home and married the love of his life, Angelina Green on June 13, 1991 who survives. Troy is also survived by his mother: Sherry (Jim) Charkowski; children: Sarah Anderson, Levi Anderson, Hannah Anderson, and Nathaniel Anderson; brother: Jason (Keiko) Charkowski; cousins: Bobbi Jo Ritchie, Michelle Ritchie, Tracy Cook, Joey Delaphiano, and several second cousins; aunts and uncles: Vickie Ritchie, Jimmy (Teresa) Delaphiano, and Yolanda Buller; maternal grandfather: Bob Delaphiano; fraternal grandfather: William Jordan Anderson; and several nieces and nephews. Troy was preceded in death by his father: Terry Anderson; uncle: Joe Delaphiano; maternal grandmother: Pat Delaphiano; and fraternal grandmother: Freda Anderson. Troy’s family will receive friends on Monday, 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Williams-Gores Funeral Home where his memorial service will be conducted on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, 1:00 PM, Pastor Brian Bunch officiating. Memorial contributions to the PTSD Program at the Battle Creek VA will be appreciated. Burial with full military honors by American Legion Post 45 will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery.
