Lois Ann Thaler, age 90 of Middleville, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2019 at Carveth Village. Lois was born on March 21,1929 to Harold and Susan (Boley) Kaechele in Middleville. On August 13, 1948, Lois married the love of her life, Theron Thaler, and they were married for 56 years until his death in 2005. Lois taught at Hooker Country School for short time and later worked at Baby Bliss for many years. She was a lifelong active member of Leighton Church and she and her husband enjoyed volunteering and mission work, traveling to Kenya and working with Lay Witness Missions in churches around the state where they were able to meet many people. Lois is remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and will be fondly remembered for her strong Christian values and wonderful cooking. Lois is survived by her daughter, Elaine Brady; son, Doug (Cindy) Thaler; son-in-law, Doug Adkins; grandchildren, Jonathan (Siobhan) Adkins, Daniel Adkins, Sarah Brady, Nathanael (Jen) Brady, Matthew Brady, Kristen (Bobby) Offenbaker, Isaiah (Melissa) Thaler, Tiffany Thaler (fiancé Derek DeLange), Isaac (Janae) Thaler, Joshua (Jessica) Thaler, Samuel (Kelley) Thaler, Rebecka (Logan) Murphy, Levi Thaler; and 10 great-grandchildren. Lois is preceded in death by her husband, Theron; daughter, Lynn Adkins; son-in-law, Steve Brady. Friends and relatives may meet with the family on Monday, July 29, from 6 to 8 P.M. at Beeler-Gores Funeral Home in Middleville, and on Tuesday, July 30, from 3 to 4 P.M. at Leighton Church. A funeral service for Lois will be held on Tuesday at 4 P.M. at the church with Rev. David McBride officiating. Lois will be laid to rest at Hooker Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the Leighton Church Missions Fund will be appreciated.
