Michael Ray Bourdo, aged 69, died June 1st 2019 in his home in Orangeville.

He was born April 3rd 1950 to Raymond Earl Bourdo and Juliet May Bourdo. He attended Delton Kellogg schools and grew up working on the family potato farm, which he eventually took over with his brother, Jeff, before selling it in the early 90s. He was drafted into the army during the Vietnam war, spending much of that time in Germany driving tanks as a border guard. It was here that he picked up his love for guitar and travel, and he loved to tell stories from this time. After serving his time in the army, he returned home and married Gail Kahllo; they went on to happily raise their two daughters. Mike loved cooking for his family, caring for his pets, and spending time with friends. He had an adventurous spirit and a passion for flight in many forms. He had a great sense of humor and a caring and gentle nature, as well as a serious sweet tooth. Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Julie. He is survived by his loving daughters Brooke and Hannah Bourdo and his brothers Alan (Gail), Jeff (Beth), and Matt (Lucy).

He will be missed by many more.

A memorial service will be held at a future date.

I have known Mike for many years and he like his mom was always smiling and friendly. I remember them from camping at the lake with my family and for the last 19 years as their mail person. I will miss the chats and the hugs at the mailbox when he was out there. My heart goes out to all of you. The world has lost a kind and sweet person.

Mike was such an enormous part of my childhood and life! Brooke and I were the best of friends all through out school. I can remember iced animal cookies in her closet when we'd have sleep overs! He was always there with unconditional love for us! He was there when I was a scared teen mom who sometimes needed a place to just get away! I loved him like a dad and will forever hold a place for him in my heart! He will be missed greatly from me! Brooke and Hannah I know we haven't stayed in touch over the years, but I love you as if you are sisters! I've never forgotten those years and never will! My heart goes out to you and your families. If you ever need anything at all please dont hesitate to call!

Mike was one of my favorite cousins growing up. I was several years younger, but he had a way of making you feel special. He was fun, kind and caring with a true love for people. I vividly remember his winning smile. We recently talked on the phone, and he asked me if I remembered when he used to give my cousin, Nancy and me horseback rides on on his back. I certainly do!! We reminisced about fishing trips, days on the farm, family get togethers at Grandma and Grandpa Bourdo’s, and Grandma’s special homemade cookies. He left this life too soon. May God’s divine love and perfect peace bring comfort to all of his family. Love, Judy Bourdo Kersten

I have so many memories of this man. He was such a caring individual and a like a second dad to me and my twin sister. I remember one time he was In weicks foodtown and he ran into my dad and my kiddos. They promptly asked him about his leg and he said yeah i lost it if you see it running around could you grab it for me. It was so funny. I will miss him dearly
My love and condolences to the his girls. Love Bethany Barcroft Burchett
