Clayton Rockney Boze, age 88, passed away on May 12, 2019 at his home. Clayton was born April 13, 1931 in Watervliet, the son of Walter and Flora (Stockwell) Boze. A veteran, Clayton proudly served his country in the United States Army. Clayton and Norma’s marriage of sixty one years was admired and modeled after by many people. Their love was a once in a lifetime love affair. Both Norma and Clayton were known for their excellent dancing skills and regularly could be found clearing the dance floor. They enjoyed traveling the country extensively in their motorhome and were never afraid to go on an adventure. Clayton and Norma enjoyed spending time in Florida during the winter and will be missed by their Florida family and friends. Until recently, Clayton was actively working and was known by many as a true “dirt artist” with his excavating skills. Clayton is survived by son, Dennis Boze; daughter, Melody Boze; grandchildren: Ross VanderMeer, Justin VanderMeer, Tabitha Boze, Kennedy Boze, and Brandi Boze-Hanson; brother, Ronald Boze; sister, MariAnn Hammond. Clayton was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Norma; and son, Rocky Boze. An open house celebration of life will be held Sunday, May 19, 2019, at 6:00 PM at the Delton Moose Lodge on M-43.
