Eddie Ellis Manchester passed away on January 11, 2019 at his home. Eddie was born on April 5, 1953, the son of Edwin Glen Manchester and Helen Marie Grinage. Eddie is survived by his daughter, Amber (Chris) Johnston; sister, Brenda (Bill) Blair; grandchildren, Avery, Gerrit, Elise; nieces and nephews, Ann Hayward, Wayne (LeAnn) Hayward, Glen (Karen) Hayward, David Blair; great nieces and nephews, Thomas, Ariel, Bethany, Katie, Makenna, and Josephine. Eddie was preceded in death by his parents. Eddie was a skilled carpenter, working for many years with James McBain. He was a cherished member of Inward Man Fellowship Church. An avid outdoorsman, Eddie enjoyed hunting and fishing throughout his life. He spent countless hours fishing with his cousin and friend Hal, and was a treasured fishing partner to many others. He had a big influence on many people, always took care of his loved ones and was a friend to everyone. He and his sister always looked out for one another. Eddie lived for his family, especially his daughter and his grandkids. Most who knew him called him “Uncle Eddie”, and his kind, helpful, and gentlemanly personality will be dearly missed by all. Friends and relatives may meet with the family on Friday, January 18 from 5 to 8 P.M. at the Williams-Gores Funeral Home in Delton. A memorial service for Eddie will be held on Saturday, January 19 at 11 A.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Blair officiating.
