Bruce was born July 17, 1942 in Battle Creek, Michigan to parents Earl and Jacqueline (Sowders) Baker. He graduated from Gull Lake High School in 1960. He has been married to his loving wife, Jacqueline for forty years and she survives him. Bruce was a Union Bricklayer by trade before his retirement. He ran his own masonry business from 1978 to 2002. He was a lifetime member of the Bedford Masonic Lodge and also a member of the Delton Moose Lodge 1649. For many years he was also a member of the Hickory Corners American Legion and Battle Creek/Albion Elks Lodge. Bruce made life-long friendships over the years, and loved spending time playing cards, horseshoes and golf. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed trips to northern Michigan snowmobiling with friends and family. He was a great dancer and had a talent for telling funny stories and jokes. Bruce is survived by his wife, Jacqueline, and sister, Shirley Weaver.
