Helen J. Wertman, age 92, of Delton passed away peacefully July 25, 2018, at Stoneridge Adult Foster Care. Helen was born January 28, 1926, in Ionia County; the daughter of George and Edna (Studt) Bustance. Helen married the love of her life, Wellington B. Wertman on October 14, 1945 and he preceded her in death on October 18, 2001. Helen attended Cedar Creek Bible Church for many years. A hard worker, Helen was a loyal employee of Hastings Manufacturing for over thirty years and she also enjoyed gardening and working on the family farm. Helen is survived by a son: Michael (April) Wertman, a daughter: Nancy (Lee) McCormick, a sister: Norma (Floyd) Fisher, five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Helen was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother: Richard Bustance. Helen’s family will receive friends Friday, 12:00 to 2:00 PM at Williams-Gores Funeral Home, Delton. A graveside service will be conducted Friday, July 27, 2018, 2:30 PM at Cedar Creek Cemetery, Pastor Robert Norton, officiating.
