Earl F. Bourdo
Earl Frederick Bourdo passed away February 1, 2018 at Borgess Medical Center. Earl was born December 29, 1930 in Orangeville Township the son of Earl E. and Leila M. (Shoemaker) Bourdo. A veteran, Earl proudly served his country in the United States Marines during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Delton VFW Post 422. Earl was employed by Plainwell Paper for over 38 years where he was a pipefitter and maintenance man. Earl enjoyed going up north and to Florida, mushroom hunting, and taking rides in the country. He could often be found in his garage listening to Detroit Tigers baseball games or keeping track of the sunrise and sunset, which he enjoyed. Most of all, he loved his children and grandchildren. Earl is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, the former, June A. Reynolds; sons: Mark (Kim) Bourdo, Jay (Deanne) Bourdo; daughters; Terri Bourdo and Susan Bourdo; sisters: Carolyn DeVires and Arlene Floria; ten grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Earl was preceded in death by his parents and a sister: Rita Erb. Earl’s family will receive friends, Saturday, February 3, 2018, 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Williams-Gores Funeral Home where his funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Delton VFW Post 422.
